Please understand it takes months of planning for each session OLLI-UA offers. With so much uncertainty, we are taking a cautious approach to ensure a safe and quality member experience. OLLI-UA is now offering expanded in-person classes at our Central Tucson Campus (summer, monsoon, fall and spring), Green Valley Campus (fall and spring 2022), and Southeast Tucson/Vail Campus (fall 2022), with the intent of gradually returning to full in-person offerings across OLLI. This gives members, study group leaders, and leadership a way to test the waters with willing participants while maintaining a broad array of programming online.
OLLI-UA 501(c)(3) is taking steps to help ensure the health and well-being of our members, study group leaders, and staff, but members need to decide for themselves if they are comfortable attending in-person activities and assume any personal risk involved. We also ask you to think of our collective membership and act in the best interest of all participants when deciding to attend in-person activities. OLLI-UA continues to provide robust online offerings for those who cannot meet the requirements for in-person activities.
To protect our highly vulnerable learning community, the Board of Directors of OLLI-UA 501(c)(3) is now requiring members be fully vaccinated per CDC guidelines to attend in-person activities at our campus locations. You may be required to present proof of vaccination and are strongly encouraged to follow the latest CDC recommendations for COVID-19 including booster shots.
Masks are now largely optional at our OLLI-UA Central Tucson and Southeast (Vail) Campuses, unless the Study Group Leader requires masks for his/her class. Please bring a mask with you - having a backup is a good idea.
Please bring and wear your face mask - it is required at our OLLI-UA Green Valley Campus.
OLLI-UA safety protocols may include social distancing, classroom capacity reductions, improved ventilation: MERV 11 (Green Valley) MERV 13 (Tucson) HVAC filters, and anti-viral approved cleaning. Disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer dispensers will be available.
Do not attend in-person classes if you are not feeling well or have tested positive for Covid-19. Those who are immuno-compromised or are part of a household with immuno-compromised individuals should take great precautions, consult their medical providers, and are encouraged to utilize our online offerings to remain safe.
